Blue Sid the Chef and the Vegetable Soup
by Cynthia Garcia
Griffith Elementary School

Once upon a time there was a chef named Sid and he loved mixing food. He always mixed food. In the evening he made a list. He grabbed a pencil with a sharp point at the end of the tip. He started writing six vegetables on the list because he was making vegetable soup. He went to the store and bought carrots and lots more. When he went back he cooked the soup. The vegetables had a lid on top of the big pot. When he was about to put the soup on the stove he saw that he had to fix the oven because it didn?t work. After he fixed the stove, he put the soup on. When the soup was done, a kid came and said, ?May I have a sip of your soup?? The chef said ?yes! But be careful because if you rip the plate and the soup falls on the floor you will not have any more soup.? ?Okay? said the kid. Chef Sid said ?You can dip bread in the soup if you want.? So he did. Chef Sid and the kid ate more and more until they were finished with the soup. THE END

Blue The New Baby
by Nicole Weidner
Bivins Elementary

My mom is having a baby. We already know what it is going to be. It is going to be a girl. Mom and dad are going to name her Rebecca Lynn. She will be my little sister. Mom said that she feels like a basket ball. There are bears and butterflies on the pad around her baby bed. Mom has clothes for her already. We had to wash them so they will be clean for the baby. I will be glad when she is a tot so she can play with me. If it was a boy I would still be happy. I am glad she is not having another son because a sister is easier to play with.

Blue Moving to Boston
by Jarron Johnson
Bivins Elementary

I am moving to Boston with my mom and dad. We are moving to Boston when my dad finishes school. He is going to be the boss of his work. Boston is a big city. I have never been there so I want to learn about it. I will get a map to find my way around there. My friends here got mad and don?t want me to go. I am going to be sad because I will miss them too. I hope we get a big house. I will go to a new school so I can make new friends. They may not like my Dallas Cowboy cap there. I want to still come visit my friends here. We will get a big moving van to help us move. I will have to put my toys in a big bag. I will probably take a nap because it will take a long time to drive there. I can?t wait to get to Boston.

Blue The New Baseball Bat
by Marco Ramirez
Montgomery Elementary School

One day my dad drove my brother and me to the mall to buy a new baseball bat. When we got home Hal and I jumped out of the car, we couldn?t wait to try out our new bat! I decided to let Hal bat first. I threw the baseball then I heard ?wham? as the bat whapped the ball. He hit the ball so hard! All of a sudden I heard a crashing, breaking, glass sound as the ball bashed our kitchen window. It even made the cookie jar fall off the kitchen table. That?s when dad said what happened? All I Could say was ?Wow!? Dad made us help him clean up the mess. The broken glass marred the kitchen table and the tile floor. He told us not to hit baseballs so close to the house anymore or we would pay for the window the next time.

Blue My Aunt and Uncles Vacation
by Gino Garcia
Bivins Elementary

My Aunt Elaine and my Uncle Floyd went by car to my cousins in South Dakota. I wish I could have gone with them because I had so much fun there last year. They took a lot of pictures and Mom and I looked at them when they got back. My mom would look at one then pass it to me. I saw them opening presents and the Christmas tree. In one picture they were eating soup from a big pot. I saw my aunt holding my cousin Josh. He has a big smile on his face. He is just a tot and their only son. He is not as tall as me. There was a picture of all the family. I was happy my Aunt Elaine and Uncle Floyd got back okay. I asked them what they were going to do on their next vacation.

Blue Tom and Bob
by Daniel Sustaita
Griffith Elementary School

Once there was a cat named Tom. He was a happy, big cat. Once day a mouse named Bob, showed up and Tom got jealous. That night the cat robbed a cheese and put a chemical poison on top of the cheese. He put the cheese on the door and the mouse smelled it and ate it. The next morning Bob weighed a ton and each hour he got fatter and fatter. At 7:00pm the mouse died and the cat ate him. The neighbor cats saw him. The cats got a job from Tom to catch more mice. They got 3 more mice and all the cats in the neighborhood cooked the 3 mice in a hot pot. They hopped around.

Blue My Busy Sunday
by Deavyn Ra'per
Montgomery Elementary School

All my dad wanted to on Sunday was to play golf, so we went golfing. My dad score was par, but mine wasn?t. Then we decided to go to the mall and buy some toys for my two dogs. When I got home I played ball with my tall dog,Aussie. My small dog?s name is Jax. I?ve taught them both tricks, but they will only do tricks for treats that I keep in a special jar. After I finished playing with my dogs I got out my skateboard. Since I usually fall down when I skateboard outside, I decided to skateboard inside. I found out skateboarding inside wasn?t a any better I ran into the wall in the hallway! I guess I?m just not very good at using a skateboard. At least I know that I am good at dance and I can walk and jump off the bar in gymnastics? class. It was still early so I ask my mom if I could go to my friend?s house to play. She said yes. Since Savannah lives too far for me to walk my mom had to drive me in her new car. On the way there my mom didn?t see the black sticky tar on the road. She drove her shiny, new, car right through the tar. Then she tried to miss the rest of the tar and caught tumbleweed!! When we got home I helped her wash the sticky tar off her car. That is the ending to a very busy Sunday!!

Blue The Marathon
by Rolando Carrillo
Griffith Elementary School

Hi, my name is Todd Cox. This morning my dog Ross and I are going for a jog. We are practicing for a jogging marathon. We jog through the park and pass by a fish pond where Ross stops for a drink. Out of no where Ross begins to bark. When I take a look I see a cod swimming in the pond. ?Wow! What a big cod I wonder. How did it ever get in there?? I just think that is odd. We have to get going. Ross and I keep jogging. After we jog for five miles, Ross nods to me; it is time to go home. Today is the big day. I get my sneakers and I put on my sox. When I get to the park all the players had vowed not to cheat. Now it was time to jog. I am in second but there is one more lap to go. Yeah! Now I?m first. I won and I felt good. I was happy. I?m ready for next year?s race. Ross and I lived happily ever after.
